Refund policy
GameFlare offers customers the opportunity to refund certain products purchased on our platform. This section outlines which items are refundable, applicable timeframes, and other relevant details. Types of Refundable Items
While we strive to make as many purchases as possible eligible for refunds, not all goods and services on our platform can be returned. Non-refundable items typically include virtual skins, in-game virtual currency, and consumables. Please note that only items purchased directly from our website qualify for a refund.
If DLC content purchased through GameFlare has not been altered, tampered with, or used, it qualifies for a refund. Certain items may also be eligible for online self-service refunds, which can be processed through your GameFlare account. Simply go to the Transactions tab, select the item you wish to return, and ensure it meets the above criteria.
Refund Requirements
Items are eligible for a refund within 7 days of purchase, provided the total playtime for the item does not exceed 2 hours. Both conditions must be met simultaneously. The refund policy does not cover items labeled as "non-refundable."
If you are banned or expelled from the platform for violating terms of service or for other reasons, you cannot file for refunds. The same restriction applies if you are found guilty of abusing the refund policy. Items are not refundable based on personal preference or if your hardware does not meet the game requirements, assuming the product quality is satisfactory.
Requesting a Refund
To initiate a refund, visit the "Contact Us" section and complete the refund request form. For specific transactions, online self-service refunds may be available. To proceed with a self-service refund, log into your account, navigate to the Account dropdown menu in the upper right corner, select Transactions, and click on "Refund."
Refund Processing
Refunds are generally issued via the original payment method, although some payment methods might not support this. An alternate refund method may be agreed upon between you and GameFlare. The processing time for refunds depends on the payment method used.
If you reside in the European Union and are covered by the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you can cancel your order and receive a refund within 14 days of purchase. Please contact us in writing immediately after your purchase to initiate the cancellation process. Access to the downloaded or used Product during this period is prohibited, and we reserve the right to deny refund claims based on such activities.
Pre-purchases
You may cancel your pre-order and obtain a refund at any time before the official release date of a game on GameFlare, as long as the publisher or developer has specified one. Additionally, you are eligible for a refund within 7 days of purchase if you have not played the game for more than two hours post-launch, provided the request is made within 48 hours of the game's release or pre-download.
Sales and Discounts
You may return your purchase for a full refund and immediately repurchase the item by following the guidelines above. This approach is acceptable and does not violate the return policy. However, if GameFlare determines that you are misusing the refund policy, refunds may be denied.
